1:30-ish:
Off into town along the river, as per, today.
No kingfishers in kingfisher territory.
Don't expect to see any as the river is very high.
Vicky spots a kingfisher outside the usual territory and David takes a dodgy photo (pt I).
As above but heavily cropped.
Vicky spots the same kingfisher (we presume) further along the river
and David takes a dodgy photo (pt 2).
As above but heavily cropped.
Kingfisher gets tired of having someone taking dodgy photos of it and flies off.
Two happy people who've now had 27 kingfisher sightings in 11.5 years.
We're getting better and better at it.
Never imagined we see one along the 'busy side' of the river.
We've been into town, saved the British economy by buying stuff from various places,
had tea to keep us going, and we're now coming back home accompanied by
a splendid rainbow over the racecourse.
The BBC and The Internet forecast rain all day but this was the only time it actually did.
Kingfisher territory in all its glory.
4:00pm-ish.
Always worth one last look at the river just in case a kingfisher flies past.
Fit Bit stats for the record:
David: 12,875 steps. 6.07 miles. 17 stairs.
Vicky: 15,000 steps. 6.4 miles. 124 active minutes.
