Late afternoon walk around Gheluvelt Park, Worcester: Saturday, 30th January, 2021.

 

Snowing midday-ish.
Water rising.
Railings submerging.
Feeding two swans.
Waterworks Road.
The Racecourse and Pitchcroft.
Allotments.
Top path.
Off back home now.

Walk to The Moors and back, Worcester: Friday, 29th January, 2021.

 

Water level rising in the park.
Snowdrops.
The Mighty Severn flows past.
The River and The Brook are rising 
right in front of our eyes.
Railing disappearing.
River is back on The Racecourse.
We were looking forward to a 
walk down Pitchcroft and back.
The Council sent a team out yesterday to 
jetwash the sediment off Pitchcroft.
Didn't they check The Environmental 
Agency's web site?

Another walk around Ghleuvelt Park etc etc, Worcester: Thursday, 28th January, 2021.

 

Overnight rain has resulted in The Brook swelling 
its banks onto the park once more.
Keeping the birds full of Holland & Barrett seeds.
River is steadily dropping.
Sediment steadily flowing downstream.

Jetwashing the footpaths?
We might be able to walk along Pitchcroft tomorrow.

Walk to the Doc's and the chemist and back via Gheluvelt Park, Worcester: Wednesday, 28th January, 2021.

 

More Holland & Barret seeds for the birds.
Almost all of The Racecourse can be seen again now.
Too much sediment on the pathways 
for us to walk along Pitchcroft tho'.
Repeats delivered.
This is not the time to fall asleep, Vic.
We've got Repeats to collect and stuff to buy here.
Don't worry Dave.
I can do all that with my eyes closed.

Afternoon walk around Gheluvelt Park, Worcester: Tuesday, 26th January, 2021.

 

The birds like our Holland & Barret seeds.
Or summat does.
We are standing above the river level again today.
Railings slowly reappearing.
Is that the racecourse we can see on the left?
Yep, grass and everything.

Walk around the park via the Post Office and then back to the Post Office a bit later, Worcester: Monday, 25th January, 2021.

 

At the Post Office.
Tower Bridge is passable.
Ice ice baby.

The river's still 'round our ankles.
Pretty-nice day downstream.
