Evesham Country Park, Sunday 27th March, 2011.

1) We're looking forward to our walk along the River Avon and have dressed sensibly today for the shivery 10 degree maximum temperature predicted by the ever-reliable BBC. 2) Amazingly, the sun's come out in defiance of Auntie Beeb and it's about 17 degrees. David's already getting delirious and has been forced to unzip his jacket. There must be a tea room along here somewhere! 3) We're hallucinating now. These berries look good enough to eat. We need a cuppa tea. 4) Man of a certain age (no it's not Dave) drones on about the Golden Age of Steam to young chap feigning keen interest and who would really like to get on with shunting some carriages about 'cos, y'know, it's his job.

Gheluvelt Park, Friday 25th March, 2011.

1) Encouraged by temperatures in the mid-high teens some 'mini-daffs' have made an appearance in Gheluvelt Park. It must be spring then. Vicky says they are Narcissus and who am I to argue?

Evesham Cat Protection, Sunday 20th March, 2011.

1) Elsie has her serious face on. Some would say it's the only face she has. But not us. Oh no.

2) Pandora is in a dilemma. Should she stay or should she go outside? It's a difficult one.
3) Wot? It's a litter tray not a bed? You sure?

4) These signs are code for 'this cat bites, spits and claws'. Only Vicky is brave enough to venture inside.

5) Go on then. Take my photo. Then sod off and don't come back 'til it's time for my afternoon feed.

6) Derek helps Lucy (making her debut on our blog) snip off some of Pandora's errant fur. (For those of you who aren't quite sure which end of Pandora is which, the tail is a clue).

Stow on the Wold: Sunday, March 13th, 2011.

1) Vicky, Tony and Paula in Stow. On a Sunday. Two out of three smiling's not too bad, eh?

2) The view to the west is rather lovely. But was it worth taking our lives in our own hands to cross the most dangerous road junction in the Cotswold's to see it? You decide.
3) David, Tony and Paula are relieved to have crossed the road safely. Now all they have to do is cross back over.

4) Tony's new Porsche parked next to a car with the same clocks as those in a Lancer Evo Mk10 (oh yes).

Crufts, NEC, Saturday 12th March, 2011.

1) Afghan gets ready for its close-up.

2) There's a lot of waiting at Crufts and, inevitably, one can get a tad tired Pt I.
3) There's a lot of waiting at Crufts and, inevitably, one can get a tad tired Pt II.

4) Almost perfect display by the Golden Retriever Display Team in the main ring.

Monday 7 March 2011

Coventry Transport Museum, Saturday 5th March, 2011.

1) Coventry may not have a lot going for it but it does have a Transport Museum - hardly surprising given it was the centre of the British car, motorbike and push-bike industry for so many years. It attracts visitors from far and wide. Look, here comes three from SE Asia now! Oh no, hold on, it's just Anne, Vicky and Derek doing an impersonation.

2) 'Oooh those sinuous lines'. Anne and Vicky discuss the aerodynamics of the 2001 Bentley EXP8.
3) 1987 Porsche 962. In an age when all racing cars were big, this one was BIG.

4) Quick run! His eyes are glazing over. He's gonna start reminiscing any second now. Dave goes all gooey over the 1980 Silk Cut Jaguar.
5) Howard is ready for Ewan to take him The Long Way Down.

6) Thrust 2. Good in a straight line across a desert but not so good around Brands Hatch.

7) A bit before his time but Howard feels strangely drawn to the Raleigh Chopper. He isn't the first and he won't be the last.

8) Anne and Vicky feed the 'squizzies' and 'pidgs' in the grounds around the bombed-out Coventry Cathedral.
9) Anne has a pigeon phobia - so she is being very brave here.

Birmingham, Friday 4th March, 2011.

1) Construction of the new Public Library continues apace. Surely it can't be as ugly as the current one?

2) I didn't have the temerity to ask them, Vicky did.

3) Selfridges building.

4) Art Gallery and Museum.

5) Paris or Birmingham, you decide.

6) Art Gallery and Museum again.
