Friday 27 December 2019

Another walk, Worcester: Friday, 27th December, 2019.

Has your 'phone gorra flash Vic?
Hmmm. Better without.

Boxing Day, Gheluvelt Park, Worcester: December, 2019.

The swans have returned to the park now the pond's
level has dropped but they haven't figured out
how to get back to the pond thru' the fencing.
Flying. That's the ticket. That, and a long run-up.

Christmas Day walk: Gheluvelt Park, Worcester: December, 2019.

Just slimy mud remains now the river level is returning to 'normal'.
Still no way along the allotment side of the racecourse tho'.
Dog walkers, dogs, and seagulls.

Sunday 22 December 2019

Rest and recuperation, Worcester: Sunday, 22nd December, 2019.

Olde-fella wot's been interfered with by the NHS yet again having
a quick nap whilst other folk think it's funny to take photos of him.
Vicky's Tea Loaf looking scrummy.
Looking even more scrummy in close up.

Saturday 21 December 2019

Severn's up again: Gheluvelt Park, Worcester: Saturday, 21st December, 2019.

Stand just there Dave.
OK Vic.
From 'The Wall' there's confirmation that the river
is over Pitchcroft and the racecourse.
Defences are up and pumping water out of gardens.
We've seen it higher here but not by much.
Damp and wintry but pleasant.
Just about sums things up.

Monday 16 December 2019

The river's high, wide, and deep: Worcester: Monday, 16th December, 2019.

The mysterious powers of The Swan Whisperer.
What can the secret of her powers be?
A bag of organic swan food of course.
The Severn.
Doing a fine impersonation of The Amazon (one imagines).
High, wide, fast and full of earth.
The Brook at a near-standstill and flooding the park nicely.

Thursday 12 December 2019

Lunch at Elgar's, Worcester: Thursday, 12th December, 2019.

A vegetarian breakfast with toasted granary bread for Vicky….
….and broccoli and stilton soup with a self-levitating
ham sammidge on granary bread for David.

Sunday 8 December 2019

Worcester Cathedral: Sunday, 8th December, 2019.

Just a small portion of Worcester's Christmas Market remains
at the far end of the high street opposite The Cathedral.
The Christmas Tree Festival is on at The Cathedral.
A happy soul enjoying the christmas trees.
All sorts of trees are here……
….including this Santa's Boots variant
(or his Elves, maybe).
Wall-to-wall trees.
View of the Cathedrals internals as we sit down and
have a rest before walking back home via a stop for a cuppa tea (of course).

Saturday 7 December 2019

Winter afternoon walk, Worcester: Saturday, 7th December, 2019.

3:30 and the light's already fading.
It'll be dark by the time we get home.

Wednesday 4 December 2019

The Worcestershire Beacon, Malvern Hills: Wednesday, 4th December, 2019.

We've made it to the top.
This is the view to the south-east.
The view to the north and Worcester.
A photo Roger can send to his family in the USA.
See? We get sunshine in the winter.
On the way back down now and looking south-west.
The view to the south.
