10:45-ish:
We have arrived at The Festival.
Old-fella feeling excited by the prospect of some impending Speed.
A canine friend.
The Feds are on the streets of Bromyard.
Looking for offenders.
Spoilsports.
A Ford Anglia.
Yay!
Shame it's in grey.
Shame it's in grey.
Autograss cars.
Howard fancies joining The Laverda Owners Club.
Today!
Who can blame him?
Vicky and a Beer Garden.
Sorry, not our thing.
Fantastic 'bike.
When we were first together in '84 we had one exactly the same apart from the size of the engine, the wheels, the exhaust, and the colour scheme.
Other than that, it was identical!
Is this a Speed Festival or an excuse for a family outing?
I think we should be told.
The Stars of the Festival:
Land Speed Record Cars - 'Babs' and 'The Beast of Turin'.
Extra points for spotting Vicky taking a photo.
A trio of terriers steadfastly ignoring the action.
The Beast is cowin' quick!
Does 90mph in first gear at 1000 rpm.
The Beast at the end of its first run accompanied by 1927 Napier Blue Bird II.
Friendly Porsche co-driver and a reflection of Vicky.
Vicky and her least favourite car of all time: the Ford Focus (an insult to all Escort RS's).
A proper co-driver.
Herefordshire.
Lovely.
14:30-ish:
Walking back up the A44 to the car park.
Off to Suckley and Holloways next for some well-earned tea and sustenance.
