Carbis Bay to St Ives and back: Boxing Day, 2016.

9:00am-ish and the view inland promises a day of fine weather.
Our second walk of the holiday along the coastal footpath to St Ives.
We are now on Porthminster Beach and the weather is living up to its promise.
Ye Gods!
What manner of lunacy is this?
We have stumbled upon the Boxing Day midday 'dip'.
I feel inspired Vic.
We simply must get up before dawn tomorrow and take a naked 'dip' in Carbis Bay.
Just the thing to gee us up before we have to drive home.
A weathered door.
Nice.
A weathered person wandering around the back streets of St Ives.
Howard window shopping.
Cowin' 'eck!
Even St Ives has a 50% Off Boxing Day Sale.
We are appalled.
Time for a cuppa tea.
Love the milk bottle.
Not seen one like that since Junior School.
Vicky, having bought stuff, shares a pasty with her beloved husband.
Just the job to keep us going.
Vicky's nipping in and out of shops.
David stays outside and takes photos.
Vicky buys a little sailing boat to go in our bathroom.
Bikers descend on St Ives.
Daily Mail alerted.
Vicky continues to shop.
Blimey, a second bag.
That must be it now, surely.
Leaving the harbour now.
Weather still lovely.
Gang of sanderlings looking for summat to eat.
Great place to get yer camera lens covered in sea spray.
Our national bird effortlessly enhances the Christmas atmosphere.
Back in Carbis Bay by 3:30-ish whilst it is still light.
Perfect.
6.5 miles today according to Fit Bit.
1 mile less than last time.
We're slipping.
