Friday 28th August, 2009.

City skyscape near 'The Freedom Trail' as we walk to the harbour.

Our first whalewatch of the holiday and a female humpback whale (she's a mere 60' long) dives in search of another meal.
We think it's safe to say that Dave can put his telephoto lens away and get his short stubby one out.

More Boston architecture on the way back to our hotel.

It's 6:45pm and Fenway Park is filling up as Howard, in his red mittens, gets ready to cheer on The Red Sox against The Toronto Blue Jays.

Blimey. There's nearly as many people in here as at the Molineux (or Villa Park). The games last for ages and we're still incredibly jet-lagged. Then the remnants of Hurricane Danny arrive and it starts to rain. The game is evenly poised at 5-5 when the heavens open and the ground staff cover the pitch. After half an hour we give up and trudge back to our hotel assuming there'll be no more play. We learn on TV in the morning that the game resumed at gone 11pm and Boston won 6-5 (yay!). We're too tired to care to be honest.
