Tony has arrived to try out the latest incarnation of the Barbourne GP track and he's bought with him a secret weapon: a Revell Trabant, complete with the strongest magnet known to Man, that he bought for £7 from a shop in Brighton many moons ago but has not had the opportunity to try out until now. The magnet is so strong that, at first, the Trabant can't complete a lap without the magnet dropping out of the floor of the car and clinging stubbornly to the track whilst the rest of the car, suddenly rendered almost uncontrollable, carries on without it. A swift application of Loctite Superglue rectifies the problem and within minutes the 'Angry Ant', as it is now known, is thrashing the cream of our Le Mans cars with ease.
Tony, Emlyn and David are all amazed at how fast that Trabant can go around CD Drawers Hairpin (and all the other corners and down the straights for that matter). Unfortunately, it is also too swift for the camera. So, that was £7 very well spent then. David instructs Tony to return to Brighton forthwith with an increased budget. Revell Racers: they're the way to go!
Two things to note about David in this photo: 1) that bite on his right shin (that'll teach him to play tennis down the park with Vicky on a warm damp evening) and 2) how he's cleverly balancing a picture on his right shoulder. Good eh?
