Three small swans on the river with no parents in sight?
Yes, it's the three independent cygnets
swimming about on their own…..
……and they're hungry of course.
The father has disowned them yet again.
So far, so ordinary.
Now things are getting interesting.
There are two un-ringed swans in the park
that we have never seen before.
They don't seem to want to be here either.
They soon decide to head for the brook.
The walk past the tennis courts and decide to walk
through the thick vegetation on the left to get down
the bank to the brook.
But they get stuck in the undergrowth and can't get out.
Vicky 'phones the swan rescue people.
They are busy rescuing other swans elsewhere.
It's getting late in the day and we have to get home for dinner
so we shall have to come back tomorrow to see if the are
around or not.
Blimey.
Some sort of moth?
Fly and a ladybird on a dandelion.
Evening meal:
Turkey parcels with roasted Mediterranean vegetables.
Dessert:
Apple and blackberries with custard and flaked almonds.
