able to fly, but not quite independent then.
Everyone's hungry.
And here comes Mr Gheluvelt.

Gheluvelt Park, the docs, and Pitchcroft, Worcester: Tuesday, 28th September, 2022.

 

Let's start the day with a THAWAS fringe meeting.
Half a walnut is hand delivered.

One of us is about to enter the docs.
Robin.
On railings.
Mothy-fella.
Blackbird.
Female.
On Pitchcroft.
Skyscape.
Bright, cool and breezy downstream.
Bright, cool and breezy upstream.
Perfect, in other words.
Buzzard.
Riding a thermal.
Just one of the Gheluvelts 
on the river today.
Not hungry, preening.
Busy Bee.
Grey Wagtail on The Brook.
Feeding ducks.
But, mainly Goldie.
Who the others bully 'cos she's different.
Wood Pigeon.
In flight.
More ducks to feed.

Kingfisher spotter spots two Kingfishers flying downstream.

Sunshine sparkling on The Severn.
Almost under Sabrina Bridge.

One for sorrow.
Gheluvelt cygnets have just flown past and are now upstream.
First time we have seen them flying.
They're independent now.
Feeding Mr and Mrs Gheluvelt.
And a Gull.
They're hungry.
