Tall Ships arrive: Gloucester Docks, Friday, 24th May, 2013.

La Belle Angele arrives from France under electric power.

The screw schooner Amazon.
From Sweden, The Ruth moves up the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal.
The Matthew, all the way from Bristol Docks, was built in the 1990's and is a replica of John Cabot's ship. It comes with all mod cons and it's crew today includes 'Cap'n Jack' and 'Keira'.
Olde fella trying (unsuccessfully) to shelter from the strong northerly (it's only 10 degrees in the first place) blowing down the Severn, across the docks and along the G & S Canal. Brrrrrrr.
Guarding a not very tall ship.
Some folk are so dead 'ard that they can laugh in the face of a bitterly cold northerly.
Saving the best 'til last: The Phoenix of Dell Quay from Denmark.
'Cap'n Jack' about to be interviewed by ITV West News. It's fun for all the family, you know.
Middle class merchant types by the looks of things.
