Overlooking the south end of Carbis Bay beach
and about to take the steps over the railway line.
The view to the north across Carbis Bay beach
to Hayle and the Godrevy Lighthouse.
Not many sections of the coastal path are as flat as this.
Are we nearly there yet Vic?
No Dave. Keep walking.
St Ives from above Porthminster Beach.
Avoiding the crowds by using the side streets.
On Porthmeor Beach.
Gnarly coastline to the south end of Porthmeor Beach.
Not many waves, not many surfer dudes.
Godrevy Lighthouse from the north end of Porthmeor Beach.
Wandering around the harbour.
Vicky's favourite card emporium.
Tea with Coffee and Walnut Cake and two spoons.
Time to get on the 4:05 train to Carbis Bay except that
the five-past-the-hour trains don't actually stop there.
We should have got one of the five-past-the-half-hour trains.
Ah well, we stay on the train and get a nice ride along
the coast to St Erth, then back again to St Ives,
before departing St Ives at 4:35 and getting off at Carbis Bay five minutes later.
We live and learn.
