On the walk 'round to The Wing we spot the Audi e-tron-thingy at Aintree (the corner not the circuit) with Marcel Fassler at the wheel. We say 'spot' advisedly 'cos you don't really hear it coming and then, with a whoosh, it's gone.
Well, if they're free and they're handing them out, the least you can do is wear one.
Free Pit Lane Walk proved (unsurprisingly) very popular with the fans.

Compared to Audi, everyone else is an underdog. The Toyota team is the biggest of the underdogs.
Ongoing British summer does its best to put a dampener on Silverstone's attempts to create 'all the atmosphere of Le Mans'.

David can go home a happy man. Having once owned a 1974 Matra 670 C in Solido, he's finally seen the real thing in the Classic Endurance race. Car of the day, obviously.
All-in-all, a fantastic day out. It did rain but not as much as Carol predicted all week on BBC Breakfast. One 30-minuter and a couple of five minute jobbies. Did rain quite a bit on the way home tho'. But that doesn't count 'cos Vicky was driving.
