We've met up with Caroline and Richard today for a lovely lunchtime Italian meal at Prezzo.

That was at least three hours ago. It takes a long-long time to fully appreciate an Italian meal.

Now fully stuffed we go on a long stroll to walk it all off.

We've walked, talked, got a bit wet, stopped and had a cup of tea or two (last ones out of the tea shop at ten past five), and are now about to go our separate ways.

The weather is fairly warm, verging on cool, and cloudy just like that Carol said it would be.

We've missed the first SBK session but we later learn that only 1 bike went out on account of the fact that the track was 'damp'. Blimey, they should have been here last year when the track was cold and it snowed at one point.

Vicky has booked 8 days of annual leave around her birthday, so is here legitimately, but how many other folk in this shot of the lunchtime Pit Lane Walk have thought 'stuff work, I'm off to Donington Park for the day'?

We think the Coalition should commence of full investigation immediately. Root and branch!

Shame, 'cos that means we have no shots of 'bikes going left to right (such considerations are important you know).

That Carol's taken the p*ss, Vic. She said it would be 16 degrees and hazy sunshine at best. I'm wearing too many layers, it's at least 22 degrees, it's hot and sunny, there's no breeze and there's dust from the Sahara blowin' around all over the place. April 1st, you say? Aha! Carol was playing an April Fools joke, obviously. Well she got us good and proper.

Another glorious early-Spring day! So, a drive down to the edge of The Cotswolds it is then, for a visit to a tea shop and then a stroll up and down Chipping Campden's High Street.

You wouldn't catch us stopping to take a photo of a nice olde jallopy parked in front of a Cotswold stone building, no way.

Just learnt from Mikki that Sox passed away on Monday.
He was a fighter and a loving cat despite his ailments and we shall miss him very much.

Can you guess where we are yet?

That's right, we are back in Carluccio's: this time for both a celebration and a commiseration. Vicky's post-op recuperation is finally over but, of course, everything comes to an end and she has to return to office-based work tomorrow. The daily commute up the M5, along the M42, and down the M40 (and back again) is looming large.

Some of us confront the nasty realities of life with the healthy breakfast option............

..............whilst others, needless to say, don't.
