Red Hill (am) and a walk in and around Gheluvelt Park (pm), Worcester: Thursday, 24th February, 2022.

 

Wiping the trolley down.

To be consumed at altitude.
Most of the park remains under water.
The level has peaked now.
Blue sky.

Seeds for the birds.
Bright and breezy upstream.

This tree hasn't been destroyed to 
make way for the new bridge yet.
Let's hope that's how it remains.

Walk to Stephenson Terrace and back, Worcester: Wednesday, 23rd February, 2022.

 

Gates into Gheluvelt Park are closed due.........
........to all the floodwater within.
We have to feed Tubsie thru' the perimeter fencing.
The Brook is flooding the park.
Flooded play area.
The park is now a lake.
Gold Finches.
Seeds for the birds.
Robin.
Wasn't singing.
Not about to start.
Spring is still springing.
Feeding a swan, some ducks and gulls on the 'lake'.
Drip-drip-drip-drippity-drip.
Three Mallards.
One with a lot to say for itself.
Grey and breezy upstream.
Water water everywhere.
Grey and breezy with a hint of brightness downstream.

More water in The Pumphouse Car Park.
It's quite unsettling to see and hear the flow of 
water over Pitchcroft let alone in the river beyond.

Water is now right across The Moors playing field.
