BSB Test Day, Donington Park: Tuesday, 20th March, 2018.

11:00-ish:
Whole sections of Donington are out of use today, as 'improvement' work continues,
so there's even more fans wandering around in the paddock and behind the pits.
They bump into one another as they play 'spot the BSB rider and take a photo'.
Look, here's a couple of fans who've tracked down a rider.
But who can it be?
It's James Ellison.
No longer using the number 77 it seems.
John Reynolds.
Luke Hedger, always friendly.
Yer typical BSB fan.
Left the paddock now and Vicky is patiently stood trackside just down from The Esses on the off-chance a BSB rider might take the trouble to do some……erm………testing.
Well, you never know.
Wheelie!
Gino Rae - OMG Racing Suzuki - does the honours.
 Wheeliest!
Glenn Irwin - PBM Be Wiser Ducati - does the honours
and sends dozens of frozen amateur photographers,
reconnecting with their dormant-for-the-whole-winter
panning techniques, home happy.
Hats off to the marshals out in the elements all day in our glorious spring weather.
And finally, back in the outer reaches of the support paddock, ultimate bike set-up is pursued.
Or they are simply googling summat on t'internet. You decide.

Not as much snow as we thought, Worcester: Sunday, 18th March, 2018.

07:15-ish.
Looks like a lot of snow has fallen overnight.
13:30-ish.
Not as much snow as we thought/hoped, so the Park is almost empty,
and families have stayed indoors as there is not enough for tobogganing.
Spring flowers (Primulas?) up to their petals in snow.
14:00-ish.
Vicky's favourite shot of our National Bird singing its heart out.
David's favourite shot of our National Bird singing its heart out.
Howard's favourite shot of our National Bird not singing its heart out.
Apart from blackbirds, and all the usuals around the duck pond, no other types of bird to be seen today.

Damp walk, Worcester: Monday, 12th March, 2018.

15:15-ish.
Barely stepped outside and we have our first wildlife encounter:
A frog.
Time for International Frog Rescue to persuade it to return to a more natural habitat.
Old-fella's view of a frog that's been persuaded (it took a while) to return to the undergrowth.
Ducks uninterested in some interesting tree bark in Gheluvelt Park.
Well, we think it's interesting.
Robin.
Up a tree by the racecourse.
Old fella blowing his nose.
Hard.
Vicky strides homeward.
A Robin up a tree in the park.
Same Robin on the ground and all puffed-up 'cos there's a rival Robin just out of shot.
Same Robin. Right profile.
We see this Robin every time we walk along here so this isn't
the first and wont be the last time we photograph him.

Other birds seen today but too quick to photograph:
Kingfisher; Green Woodpecker; Greater Spotted Woodpecker; Thrushes; Redwings; Long Tailed Tits; Great Tit; Blackbirds; Magpies; Pigeons; Mallards and Swans.
So, a good walk then.

Croome Park walk (with Roger): Wednesday, 7th March, 2018.

11:00-ish.
View across the park to The Malverns.
Note swollen river in mid-distance.
We're trying to stick (not literally) to the high ground today.
Still quite muddy in places tho'.

Feeding of the 5…..um….dozen, Gheluvelt Park, Worcester: Monday, 5th March, 2018.

14:00-ish:
'Gorranybread?
The ducks have cornered us.
We feel guilty and have to admit that, yes, we have just returned from M & S
and we do, indeed, have some bread.
Ducks eye view of the woman with the bread.
Vicky seems very pleased with her efforts.
Swans and a gull (mine!) try to get in on the action.
They all get their fair share.
'Quack!'
Some satisfied customers.

Saturday, 3 March 2018

Walking into town, Worcester: Saturday, 3rd March, 2018.

12:15-ish.
No wind today (to speak of).
It's like we are almost overdressed.
Almost.

Friday, 2 March 2018

Beast From The East aftermath, Worcester: Friday, 2nd March.

11:30-ish.
There's a reasonable covering of snow in Gheluvelt Park
but we conclude that Worcester has got off lightly.
It's more exposed on The Racecourse
and the wind is now from the south-east.
12:30-ish.
Back home safe and sound.
It's supposed to snow all afternoon but the weather warning
has been downgraded from Amber to Yellow.

Thursday, 1 March 2018

Pitchcroft, Worcester: Thursday, 1st March, 2018.

11:30-ish.
Beast From The East - is this all yer got?
