Staying cool with Aunt Louise, Kingsbury: Saturday, 17th June, 2017.

When it's 28 degrees in Birmingham, any sensible person would drive in an air-conditioned car to Kingsbury for summat to eat followed and a wander around Planters Garden Centre where it's, oh the blessed relief, a significantly cooler 27.9 degrees.
Yes, much better.

So it's a pot of tea and a ploughmans for David and Aunt Louise……..
…….and a pot of tea and a tuna mayo brown baguette for Vicky.
Eventually, we have to venture back outside into the cowin' heat and humidity.
When we return to Birmingham, some 2 hours later, it's still 28 degrees!

Roll-on October, that's what we say.

Croome Park walk (with Roger): Wednesday, 14th June, 2017.

10:30-ish:
Looking towards The Malvern Hills.
Roger reckons we're going to walk along the hills, starting from the one on the right, as soon as he's recovered from his latest op which is scheduled for next week.
I've told him that it had better not be a warm humid day!
The view in the opposite direction.
Croome House House Martin colony with adult (look carefully) swooping back out
after providing a fast-food feed for its young-uns.
All rivers are lovely on a day like this - even man-made ones.
12:00-ish:
Can't wait to come back here on a bright day in the autumn when all the leaves are changing.
Time to drive back to Worcester now.

Decorating (oh deep joy), Worcester: Saturday, 10th June, 2017.

We're decorating the hallways.
We did the living room last month but, you'll be glad to know, we forgot to take any photos.
So we're taking some today to make up for it.
Some team members are hard at it whilst others are taking a cowin' selfie.
Having spent ages agonising over paint samples we finally reach a consensus
only to find that it's the same colour that's already on the walls.
Still, at least we know what we like.

Just another day in flaming June? Worcester: Thursday, 8th June, 2017.

Is Vicky shrinking?
