Evesham Cats Proection, Sunday, 28th October, 2012.

The aptly named Big Boy (aka Frank). Once, according to Miki, a feral until he was taken in by a 90 year old lady who transformed him into the splendid friendly fella we see before us today. Cat of The Day, obviously.
Maggie takes her duties very seriously. The laundry is an onerous task but somebody's gotta do it, right?
Proto-Big Boy?
That's it, just there.
Felix stands guard. Any dog from the Dogs Trust foolish enough to venture in here - he'll 'ave 'em!
Much later, back at base, another F1 GP is having the usual effect.

Batsford Arboretum, Friday 19th October, 2012.

Distinct lack of autumnal autumnals at Batsford Arboretum shock!

We blame our wet summer.

Some rare autumnals.

There's always one.

There have been quite a few changes made to the arboretum since our last visit a couple of years ago, not least of which is an expansion of the catering facilities and the shop. But once you leave the hordes of visitors behind the arboretum itself never fails to lift our spirits: massed autumnals or no.

CRMC Classic Silverstone, Saturday 13th October, 2012.

Long Blog Alert!
Roomy garages cluttered up by cowin' photographers roaming randomly about willy-nilly.
Howard's chatting folk up again. Well, he is a very friendly chap.
What all racing 'bikes need a lot of.
Cormac Conroy - 930cc Ryan BSA - is ready to race.
Vicky watching a Start......
.....and what Vicky saw.
Andy Muggleton - 2012 CRMC 350cc Champion trying out a different Yamaha from the one he rode at Donington - gets the hell out of Copse.
Sean Emmett - Suzuki RG 500 - also at Copse.
Guy Martin sits up and slows down a touch at Maggots on the 997cc Suzuki XR69.
Back in the Paddock we catch up with Andy. He looks happy here but he isn't. He's not happy with the gearing and he's made a change for the next race.  We all hope it goes better and we wish him luck.
Andy exits Maggots/Beckets in what turned out to be the final race of the day (the last 3 didn't run). There have been one or two delays and now, at 5:40pm, dark foreboding rain clouds have gathered above us. The camera is set at 1600 ASA to get this shot. David says he's never had to use 1600 ASA before. It's a cowin' outrage and, what's more, he's shaking 'cos it is ruddy freezing. It is gloomy now and much darker than it looks here. Still, all good fun, eh?

We manage to get back to the car before it rains (just) and meet up with Sue and Billy just after 6 as planned. The rain is coming down in stair-rods by the time we get there. Something tells us winter is on the way.

Another racing season has come to an end (sob, sob). It's been great. Roll on the next one.

Sunday, 7th September, 2012.

It's one thing to see folk playing this game whilst we were on our holiday in New England (back in the day), it's quite another to see such folk cluttering up our green and pleasant land on our very own doorstep. And they've got all the right gear an' all! Not only that but we reckon some of 'em might even be wimmin!

We can feel a strongly-worded email to the Editor of The Daily Mail coming on.

And they say travel broadens the mind.

Saturday, 6th September, 2012.

The walk back home from town at about 6:00pm through the local park and a chance to appreciate the lovely sunlight.

Fair lights up the soul.
