Monday, 26th September, 2011

This is a test and shows The Vickster hard at work at home. Howard muttering something about her being something of a techno-show-off, unfortunately, just out of shot.

Autosport 6 Hours, Silverstone, Saturday 10th September, 2011 (last ones, honest).

Kristensen/McNish Audi R18 TDi at Abbey probably looking to pick a fight with a slower GT car (and lose - will they ever learn?).

Merde! It's started to drizzle (it didn't last long) but it's enough to ensure that qualifying is over for the Montagny/Sarrazin Peugeot 908.

The latest Audi looks menacing even when glimpsed in parc ferme.

Our car of the day was this rather splendid 1968 Ford GT40. Very quiet and not particularly quick but, with looks like these, who cares?

Nah, he's taking a shot of the car, of course he is.

Autosport 6 Hours, Silverstone, Saturday 10th September, 2011.

Midnight blue and not a sponsors garish colour scheme in sight. 1967 was certainly a very different world as this rather lovely Lola T70 MkIII exiting Brooklands illustrates.

Our opening ceremony was obviously much better than the official one.

Andy Priaulx/Uwe Alzen BMW M3 (at Vale) was quick in qualifying but not so clever in the race.

Pole setting and race winning Peugeot 908 of Sebastien Bourdais/Simon Pagenaud hurtles through Abbey (tell 'em to slow down a touch, David can't pan that fast!).

Worcester city centre and Pitchcroft, Thursday 15th September, 2011.

Well I never. Worcester has a brand new record shop! We thought they were all closing down. This one opened a few weeks ago. Dunno how long it will last but we can hope. This lunch time it was quite full with folk buying stuff, which augers well. David bought two Thin Lizzy's and a Mott The Hoople on our last visit and the most recent Pure Reason Revolution today. £17 the lot. Bargain. Support your local record shop! Vicky has yet to find something to her taste. David says she's not trying hard enough.

Talking of 'hard'. We are all dead 'ard here in Worcester. Even our wood weevil-thingies are dead 'ard. They've made short work of that tree that blew down on Monday night, as you can see.

Pitchcroft, Tuesday 14th September, 2011.

We've had some strong winds lately and this old chap is the latest to, ahen, fall victim. You wouldn't want to be walking along here listening to your iPod oblivious when it toppled over, would you?

6 Hours of Silverstone, Saturday 10th September, 2011 (Pt I).

Nevermind the 6 Hours of Silverstone, this is where the real hard-core racers are hanging out.

David, and other chaps of a certain age, are about to get all-teary about the 'goode olde daze'.

Howard has found a gap in the safety fencing at Village. Don't tell the marshals whatever you do. The F3's will be bumping into each other here any second now (not that Howard only goes to race meetings to laugh at young drivers who get nerfed into the boonies, oh no).

The No 8 Peugeot of Montagny/Sarrazin leaves the Pits to do battle with those pesky Audi's.

Gheluvelt Park, Friday 9th September, 2011

No, I haven't suddenly developed a size twenty left foot. This little-fella was out and about in the park today. I guess he/she must have fallen out of a nearby tree. Seemed a bit disorientated to me. It kept on jumping up at my knees (I know my legs are long but do they really look like trees?) and it also was quite happy to sit on my foot. Of course, I tried to take photos of it doing this but by the time the compact decided to take the shot the little squizz had hopped off.

I did wonder what I should do but decided, a la a fledgling having fallen from a nest, that if I left it well alone it would eventually be reunited with its Mum. Let's hope.

Evesham Cats Protection, Sunday 4th September, 2011.

Let us introduce you to Peanut. He's a very friendly chap. Unfortunately, some kind soul in his past has decided that it would be quite entertaining to scalp him, hence the lack of ears. He is also a bit hard of hearing as you might expect. However, a more loving and forgiving bloke you couldn't wish to meet. I don't think we'd be so loving and forgiving if we'd been through what he's been through. The human race, eh? Fair makes ya proud.

Ah, two kittens (and their Mum). They won't be in here long. Sure enough they've already had plenty of interest.

Pandora (for it is she) sits proudly outside her first floor apartment. She's doing quite well, as far as we can tell, nowadays. You could say she is, ahem, ever-so-slightly enigmatic.

This is Minty. One of several 'let out daily's' in residence. This is a rare shot of her in relaxed mode. More usually, she is very territorial and grumpy (with other cats if not us).

Elsie. Yay! Out and about and enjoying the warm September sunshine under a shady gazebo-thingy. And why not?
